DOSE Juice to invest over $1M in its Saint-Hyacinthe production plant

Barely two years after opening its own juice production plant in Saint-Hyacinthe’s City of Biotechnology, DOSE Juice has announced a new investment phase to expand its facilities and purchase new production equipment.

The project will involve a 1,400-square foot expansion using space available in Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole’s Édouard-Brochu pavilion, where the DOSE plant is located. New equipment will be installed to increase the company’s production capacity and meet demand for DOSE-brand products and multi-packs. The entire project will cost over $1 million, $100,000 of which will be provided by Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole for the work on its building.

“Thanks to the success of our products and the sales agreements we’ve signed over the last few months, it’s time to embark on this new phase in our development. We are pleased to continue our growth here in Saint-Hyacinthe and are thankful for the technical and financial support we’ve received from the Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole team. For a young company like ours, that kind of support is key,” said Raphael Hubert, DOSE co-president and co-founder.

When the work is completed, which should be spring 2018, DOSE will have tripled the capacity of its Saint-Hyacinthe plant. This will help it meet demand for its products, which can already be found in many specialty stores and supermarkets across Canada. The project will also create six new jobs in the Maskoutan plant, which already has 20 or so employees.

“Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole is always proud when one of its tenant businesses graduates from a start-up to a flourishing young company. By accompanying its directors in all the steps of DOSE Juice’s development and investing in our building to adapt the facilities to their growth, we can say that Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole is playing its full role as business facilitator,” added Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole’s general manager, André Barnabé.

Founded in 2013, DOSE makes and markets organic cold-pressed juices certified by Ecocert (allowing the company to legally label its products as organic). Its product lines include juices (nine flavours) and protein smoothies (four flavours).

DOSE also makes several store-brand products. Its products can be purchased online and in grocery stores. For more information, visit its website at dosejuice.com.
